Haley’s doctoral research investigated how and why the U.S. Christian Right has been working to influence African politics of gender and sexuality. For her postdoctoral research, she will be further examining the geopolitical dimensions of African pro-family discourse and movement building, particularly in relation to bilateral relations between African states and those between African states and western, as well as ‘new’ global actors.
Jon Braddy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication and Philosophy at Florida Gulf Coast University in the US.
Dr. Braddy’s main areas of scholarship encompasses psycho-analytic theory and queer theory. He is a fan of French philosophy, particularly Gilles Deleuze and Jacques Lacan. Beyond his scholarly publications, Jon has written and produced documentaries highlighting time-stamps of individual’s struggles as they confront change in their current milieu.
Kari Jegerstedt is Professor and Head of the Centre for Women's and Gender Research (SKOK) at the University of Bergen.
Kari Jegerstedt has a background in literary studies and gender theory. Kari is particularly interested in psychoanalysis, postmodern fiction, post colonialism, queer theory and South African literature.
Randi Gressgård is professor at Centre for Women's and Gender Research (SKOK) and affiliated with the research unit International Migration and Ethnic Relations (IMER).
Randi Gressgård’s research interests span the fields of migration and minorities; gender and sexuality; and urban security and governance. Thematically, much of the research revolves around minority issues, including multiculturalism, postcolonialism, democracy, nationalism, racism and East-West geopolitics.
