Shola Omotola is a professor of political science at the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Nigeria and the 2023 Claude Ake Visiting Chair at the Nordic Africa Institute and the Department of Peace and Conflict Research, Uppsala University, Sweden. He specialises and has published on comparative African institutions and democratisation.
