Mapping displacement

14.03.2024 12:00 - 13:00English

Welcome to an IMER lunch seminar on modern mapping strategies and displacement.

What do we see behind a map? How do modern mapping strategies approach displacement and how can this be visualised and communicated? How is architecture and urbanism connected with shifting environments of global movements?

Sofya Markova presents her research on exposed territories worldwide through an architectural lens. The conversation will approach displacement from several perspectives, questioning the role of architecture and discussing cartographic methodologies.
