03.03.2020 09:30 - English

Miles Perry (European Commission)

To meet our climate goals, the EU has just agreed to the goal of climate neutrality by 2050. It may sound like a headline, but this target is informed by the latest climate science. This talk will take a look at how such objectives are set, by taking a walk through how science and policy interact at EU and global level.

Miles Perry
works in the European Commission Directorate General for Climate Action. His work involves following developments in the science of climate change to ensure that EU climate action is grounded in the best available science, as well as participating in international negotiations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. Scones, coffee and tea will be served. Welcome everyone!
