Luisa Nhantumbo is a multimedia journalist with experience in news production, photojournalism, and video creation.

Carmeliza Rosario

Social Anthropologist with over 20 years of experience conducting multifaceted social research, including poverty, inequality and the gendered effects of development programs.

Her current research focuses on the dynamics of female traditional leadership and is part of the project Cabo Delgado: Conflict, Resilience and Reconstruction. The project’s objective is to provide inputs to better understand the causes of the conflict in Cabo Delgado province, with a view to promoting economic reconstruction, social cohesion and violence prevention.

Edson Cortez

Edson Cortez is a founding member of the Centre for Public Integrity, where he also serves as a researcher in investigative journalism, with a particular interest in issues related to public procurement, conflicts of interest, and influence peddling.

Edson Cortez holds a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Eduardo Mondlane University, a master’s degree in African Studies from the Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (ISCTE – IUL), and a PhD in Political Anthropology from the Institute of Social Sciences at the University of Lisbon (ICS – UL). In 2005, after completing his bachelor’s degree, he was a researcher at JustaPaz-Centre for Studies and Conflict Transformation, a Mozambican non-governmental organisation.

Helge Rønning

Helge Rønning is a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Media and Communication, University of Oslo. He has held numerous private and public positions of trust, including serving on the Government’s Freedom of Expression Commission (1996-1999).

Rønning was the chair of the Norwegian Non-Fiction Writers and Translators Association and the chair of Kopinor. His research spans various fields such as literature and media policy, African politics and culture, and issues of democracy.

Helge Rønning has contributed significantly to the fields of media, literature, and African studies.

Aslak Orre

Political scientist whose competence areas include local government reform, corruption and anti-corruption as well as parties and opposition in Africa.

Orre is educated in political science and social anthropology. His research focus is on Angola and Mozambique for more than two decades, and he has followed political development in Venezuela closely over the last 15 years.
