The Emerging Climate Emergency

The recent assessment report from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) underlines the emerging climate situation, now with higher degree of scientific certainty and greater urgency. What does this mean for how we develop educational programmes and teach students in the university?

We will discuss how to rethink education in light of the climate emergency. What courses, pedagogical methods, skills and approaches do we need?

The panel debate is organised under the climate pillar of the
Bergen School of Global Studies (BSGS), led by the
Centre for Climate and Energy Transformation (CET). The debate will provide input for BSGS’s work.
